Meet the new Council

(Incoming president Clive Bellows and Áine Mc Cleary)

On Thursday evening 7 March, The Institute held its Annual General Meeting (AGM). The main purpose of this meeting is to:

  • approve new members to Council;
  • adopt the financial statement for the year and 31 July 2018; and
  • appoint the external auditors.

At the meeting we heard from James Lidierth who presented the financial statements for approval; from Clive Bellows, our new President of The Institute for 2019/2020 and bid farewell to Áine McCleary President of the Institute in 2018/2019.

We welcomed our new President Clive Bellows, Deputy President Jane Howard and Vice President Rob Warnock. Certain corporate members nominate a member to join Council and from the cohort of other corporate members, we have two new Council members who are both from Barclays Bank Ireland- Jennie Power and Brian Delahunty. Our new independent member appointed to Council is Clare Duignan. As you know, we had four nominations for two vacancies for the professional members positions on Council. We held an electoral ballot for the two vacancies and Carol Lawton and Finbar Gaffney were successful in the ballot and have joined Council. Please read more about our Council members on our website.

We are delighted to introduce The Institute's Council 2019/2020:

Clive Bellows, President Derek Horgan
Jane Howard, Deputy President Carol Lawton
Rob Warnock, Vice President James Lidierth
