Institute of Banking Executive Education is delighted to offer a new range of masterclasses commencing in February 2018 to both members and non-members. The masterclass series is designed with busy executives in mind, offering them the opportunity to be immersed in a specialised topic of interest during short and practically focused sessions, delivered by experts in their field. We have developed our 2018 masterclass series drawing on our experience of the challenges faced by executives and we are confident that attendance on one or more of these classes will enhance the professional skillset of participants. Our masterclasses are available to professionals both inside and outside of financial services.

Paul Sommerville is founder and CEO of Sommerville Advisory Markets (SAM).
SAM is a stockbroker and derivatives broker trading Shares, FX, Commodities, CFD’s and other leveraged products .The firm is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority UK and overseen by Irish regulator for conduct of business rules. Paul has over 30 years’ experience in the financial industry and is a regular commentator in news and print media.

Previous appearances include BBC, Bloomberg, Al Jazeera, RTE TV and radio, Newstalk, TV3 and the Max Keiser show on Russia Today. He is also a regular columnist in many Irish publications including the Sunday Independent. He returned to Ireland in 2008 having spent the majority of his financial career in London and Japan working in an advisory capacity in the derivatives market most notably for Tullett & Tokyo the largest derivatives broker in the world at that time.

He more recently held roles as Head of the Advisory teams at Agincourt Financial ltd and Delta Index before setting up his own firm in 2011.
