About the event
A personal pension is fundamentally a simple product - it is just a tax-free pot of cash you, your employer (and sometimes the Government) pays into, as a way of saving up for your retirement. Pensions may not be sexy or cool but they are important. According to a survey published by Deloitte just before Christmas, more than half of Irish working adults don’t have a pension, and many of those who do aren’t paying it enough attention. If you are in that category, then maybe we can help.
Bryan's presentation covered the following areas:
|
|
- Is the pensions time bomb about to explode
- The changing face of Irish pensions
- Defined benefit v defined contribution pensions
- How much should you be putting into your pension
- How the State has changed the State Pension
- Proposed changes to pensions
- How easing back is the new retirement
