This event was designed to help you make the right decisions to progress your career in banking and financial services. Whether you are just starting out, hoping for a promotion or simply want to find out what’s going on in the industry in general - this event was for you. We had the experts to answer your questions.
About the Presenters
Colm Cavey – JobDoctor.ie - “The importance of a job search”
Colm has over 24 years experience in the career consulting business working with multinational and private companies throughout Ireland. He has successfully led the career development and deployment of many personnel and has;
• Managed the largest career assignment ever in Ireland, supporting 1,360 people.
• Held M.D. roles in industry with full financial responsibility.
• Delivered Interview Technique training to MBA students at Smurfit Business School.
• Authored 3 steps to Career Change.
• Interviews on Career Matters on Newstalk.
He has worked with Irish, English, French, Swiss and US companies. He has been the Sales Director with DBM Ireland an affiliate of one of the largest Outplacement and Career Consultancies in the world and now manages PCC or the ‘jobdoctor’ providing career development services.
He knows what employers want, what recruiters need and how the most recent developments in on-line personnel services impacts on applicants today. It is this experience and understanding that enables him to successfully coach, advise and help individuals addressing career change, the job market or presentation issues.

Alexandra Clark – Digital Career Development Specialist, Abintegro, UK - "Unlocking Your Career Potential with the IoB Career Resources
Alex works for Abintegro, which provides IoB's Career Resources Centre, a platform designed to unlock the career potential of IoB’s members.
She is responsible for implementing enterprise-wide career development programmes for a broad range of organisations, including many of the largest banks and financial institutions in Ireland and the UK. Alex also specialises in online engagement, having worked in employee benefits and advertising and has obtained her diploma in Motivation.

Jane Downes – Clearview Coaching Group - "Work & Worth & Your Personal Effectiveness” -self facilitating your development within your organisation"
Jane is one of Irelands best known Career and Performance Coaches and author of “The Career Book” – Help for the Restless Realist - www.thecareerbook.ie. She established Clearview Coaching Group a Career Coaching and Training business in 2004. As an experienced Coach, Jane has given over 14,000 hours of Career, Executive, Interview and Business coaching and has worked with thousands of professionals from around the globe.
Jane is proud to have helped so many clients over the past 13 years including C-suite Executives and Senior Managers from CEOs to Entrepreneurs and Line Managers.
In 2015 Jane made the Irish Tatler Business Women of Influence Directory and was invited to speak at the prestigious Tatler Academy in The Convention Centre and Nationwide on Women, Work and Worth. Attendees had the chance to meet with experienced consultants in your field and get any questions answered at any time from 5pm to 6pm and from 7.30pm to 8.30pm
