We've been facilitating exams in the Institute for well over 100 years. Our journal for 1916 notes that 103 members sat exams in 1915 (and only 58 in 1916), down on the previous year’s high. It also notes the effect of World War I on the Institute’s clubs with the competition for the Institute’s Football Cup being abandoned due to the high numbers of members volunteering.
