A new alliance with a global brand in risk management education

Introducing new operational and conduct risk programmes for the banking and investment fund services sectors

Operational risk and conduct risk are big issues for financial institutions around the world. That’s why we are delighted to have forged a new alliance with Professional Risk Managers International Association (PRMIA), a global brand in risk management education. This relationship offers our members the opportunity to study on three different risk management programmes and achieve dual awards – an academic qualification (at degree level 8) from UCD and an internationally recognised Operational Risk Manager Certificate from PRMIA.

PRMIA

PRMIA is a leading global educator of risk management professionals and is active in major financial centres around the world. It has over 50,000 members in 65 countries worldwide, with more than 2,400 companies employing PRMIA designates. It is a not-for-profit organisation.

An opportunity to stand out

Our unique alliance with PRMIA provides students with the opportunity to learn about global best practice in operational risk management. Our new programmes also explore more localised operational and conduct risk issues that customer facing staff and back office risk professionals deal with on a daily basis. Completing the new programme for banking or investment fund services will ensure participants can stand out from their peers and perform their roles more effectively in a fast changing environment.

The programmes commenced in October 2015 with the first exams taking place in January 2016. Registrations to the programmes are now open for the new academic year. The semester starts in October 2016.
