Join IOB and Dr Paul Egan, Research Officer in the Economic Analysis Division of the ESRI, for an overview of trending issues in the Irish housing market in 2024. Paul will allocate time for member questions.

Dr. Paul Egan is a Research Officer in the Economic Analysis Division of the ESRI. Paul joined the ESRI in September 2021. Prior to this, he worked as a Senior Macro-Financial Risk Specialist at AIB as well as an Associate Lecturer in Economics and Finance at the University of St Andrews, where he was also a Research Affiliate at the Centre for Dynamic Macroeconomic Analysis (CDMA).
Paul’s main research interests are in the areas of applied econometrics and macroeconomic modelling. He works on the ESRI’s COSMO model and has been involved in research projects on topics such as the impact of interest rate ‘snapback’ and the potential impact of the war in Ukraine on the Irish economy. He also works on a number of housing related research projects and is responsible for the ESRI’s nowcast of modified domestic demand (MDD).
